Members Only Event – End Of Life – 29 October 2025 7:00pm
This event is part of our specialist interest circles that are open to IPT members only. You can see the IPT membership criteria here: https://archive.instituteofpsychedelictherapy.org/membership
The End of Life Special interest group is facilitated by Ffion Carlin. Ffion is an ACT and counselling-trained palliative and internal medicine doctor and psychedelic integration coach based in Liverpool. She is passionate about practicing a holistic approach to managing chronic and physical health problems (when compared to the Western medical model) and has a special interest in Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for the management of total pain in the context of palliative care.
The End of Life group is a place for those who work in palliative care and anyone else passionate about this field to come together to reflect, discuss and explore what we see in the current research and other topics related to End of Life, including:
- What does a good death mean to you?
- Exploration of themes from qualitative research
- When might psychedelic therapy be helpful for someone with life-threatening disease or terminal illness, and when might it be contraindicated or not appropriate?
- How might psychedelic therapy be integrated into palliative care?
- What are the risks we need to consider?
- Can psychedelics help us to die better?
