This upcoming End of Life Special interest group will be facilitated by Ffion Carlin and will explore the practicalities and possible challenges of using psychedelics in a palliative care setting in the UK. Considering it alongside the psychedelic therapy models being used in other countries and in UK clinical trials.

The End of Life Special Interest Group is a place for those who currently work in palliative care and anyone else who is passionate about this area to come together to reflect, discuss and explore what we currently know from the research and other topics including:

What does a good death mean to you?
Exploration of themes from qualitative research
When might psychedelic therapy be helpful for someone with life-threatening disease or terminal illness, and when might it be contraindicated or not appropriate?
How might psychedelic therapy be integrated into palliative care?
What are the risks we need to consider?
Can psychedelics help us to die better?
